About

PILMap is about the geography of international legal education: In which countries is the study of international law widespread? Where is it uncommon? And where is it absent altogether? Featured on the map are the national percentages of law schools that require their students to complete a quarter- or semester-long course concerning public international law. By clicking on an individual country, you can examine summary statistics, details about the curricula of specific law schools, and information about additional training requirements such as bar examinations. PILMap is an ongoing project, so I welcome users to submit information where the existing data is obsolete or incomplete.

For a more extensive discussion of the survey and its theoretical significance, see International Law in National Schools, 92 Ind. L.J. (forthcoming 2017) [link].
